Styling Homes and Beautiful Spaces

At Collov Home Design, Interior Design has widened my scope to another level.  Here, the opportunity to design comes with variety and abundance.  The amount of different design projects allows for creativity and diversity.  The ability to design a space from start to finish is beautiful to see.  Starting with a mood board to rendering proposals, helps achieve a dream into a reality for a client, making their space "theirs".  Each detail and element is carefully selected for the client.

MOOD BOARDS

The first step in the process is to get an understanding of the client's needs and wants.  Then, a mood board is created, hitting all elements required from the client.

RENDERINGS

Once the mood board has been selected by the client, the design is rendered, allowing a visual for the designer and even the client.

HOME OFFICE

A rendering was needed for the client to visually see what the home office would look like.  The vision was to make the space feel brighter and more inviting, creating a relaxing space to work in.  The client's design style included eclectic, rustic, and industrial farmhouse.

The key elements of this space incorporate a large built-in bookcase with a pop a blue, a fun but neutral wallpaper, and bold earth tones.

DINING ROOM

The client was looking to update and elevate her dining space.  She loves transitional, modern farmhouse, and modern mid-century design. So, with these styles, her dream became a reality.

Key elements in this design include the use of a bench at the dining table, a wall art collage, and a beautiful chandelier.

BEDROOM

The client had some existing furniture but wanted to complete her Scandinavian, Transitional, Boho Farmhouse design, while also appropriately laying out the space.

The key elements to this design include wall art above the bed, a bench at foot of the bed, and a seating area for reading and relaxing.

LIVING / DINING ROOM

Here, the client loves relaxing but needs a tiny office. They enjoy exercising, especially yoga, which was important to include within the design. Keeping the design style of Scandinavian, minimalist, and modern mid-century in mind, the client wanted statement pieces with the addition of plants and greenery.

Key elements include new flooring, work station and yoga space.

KIDS BEDROOM

This space was designed for a 1-year-old girl to "grow" with her.  The idea was to transition this room from a “baby nursery” into a “sophisticated toddler” room with a Scandinavian, boho look.  There is plenty of space to play, even with the addition of a play tent for family and friends.

Some key elements include personalized name decor, accent wallpaper, play tent, and lots of toy storage.

BEDROOM

A room that's inviting and sleepy with a dreamy accent wall and barn door at the closet, making these key elements in the space.  Client works during the night and sleeps during the day, so creating a "sleepy" environment was very important.  The design aesthetic is modern, transitional, and industrial.

HOME OFFICE

This was a fun challenge as the client wanted a "gamer" look office.  To achieve this goal, furniture pieces feature LED lighting, iridescent items, and white furniture for the lighting to pop. Client was extremely detailed with the design, making the process easy to navigate.

The key elements include LED lighting, comfortable seating for work and lounge, and even a snack bar area.

OUTDOOR

The client had a beautiful backyard space but wasn't really sure how to layout out the furniture, as well as entertain her children and friends. Her design aesthetic included a modern, modern farmhouse, and modern boho.

Some key features include a dining table for large group dinners and a tucked-away seating area.

HOME OFFICE

The client was looking for a completely new design with the look of modern mid-century, industrial, and modern. She wanted a bright, clean space with lots of plants, as well as a daybed for any guests who visit. This space works as a multi-purpose where the client can work, use it as a guest room, and even continue her workouts.

The key elements include hanging planters, a daybed for guests, a workstation, and an exercise space.

LIVING / DINING ROOM

Since the space was limited, the client wanted to utilize the space as best as possible. The client wanted the space to feel bright warm, cozy, clean, simple, but not cluttered with a few pops of color - lots of greens. The space was intended for relaxing and entertaining by designing with an eclectic, Scandinavian, Bohemian aesthetic.

OPEN LIVING / DINING

The client needed a couple of items to furnish her new apartment and was on a tight budget.  Client needed help on how to take her existing furniture pieces and add new items.  Together, a beautiful space was designed and created, making it comfortable for her and her dog.

HOME OFFICE

Client was looking for a beautiful and functional workspace, knowing long hours would be spent in this space.  The style was eclectic, boho farmhouse, and french farmhouse.

The key elements were storage as this working client needed ample space and storage.

LIVING ROOM

The client saved this space with a roommate so the design challenge was working on two different opinions and styles.  They had dogs and needed to make sure that the cages were included in the space.  But in all, the design style was coastal with elements of eclectic and modern boho.

OPEN LIVING / DINING

The specific design aesthetic needed was to paint all the millwork and built-ins.  The client wanted to create a comfortable seating arrangement for family and friends with a transitional, farmhouse and modern mid-century design.

The main elements are the gold accents throughout, really elevating the space.

BEDROOM

The client had some specific elements within the design such as a reading area, new lighting, a statement wall behind the bed, and new paint.  The design aesthetic was mainly transitional with accents of Scandinavian and Boho Farmhouse.

The main element here is lots of greenery, bringing the natural feel indoors.

HOME OFFICE

The client was designing this space for their significant other.  They work from home but also love gaming.  The fun feature in this room is a reading nook for a nice change in environment.

The key elements are wall to wall bookcase and reading nook, with small features of gaming.

OUTDOOR

The key element here was for outdoor landscaping and layout of furniture being comfortable and small kid friendly.
